Welcome to another Thankful Thursday.
This week, I have enjoyed…
Responses to my self-care survey, which will help me as I turn my Sunday self-care posts into a book. Thank you so much to everyone who has completed it, shared the link, etc. There are several people who have shared really insightful comments and they are very much appreciated. The survey is still open, so if you’re an adoptive parent and haven’t yet seen it, please click here. It literally takes two minutes. Promise.
The outline for said book. Obviously it’s going to be more than just the blog posts repackaged – I’ll be including case studies from other adoptive parents, reflecting the experiences of those with older children, single adopters, and others with experiences different from my own, in order to broaden it out and be as inclusive as possible. I originally hoped to have it finished in April but am realising that that was a bit optimistic! I’ll keep you posted.
Joanna play the drums in a school concert, despite bursting into tears with nerves as she went up to play. So proud of her for persevering.
Charlotte serenading me with her rendition of Walk the Dinosaur at 6.15am. She is a happy little sausage.
Goodies brought back from Pete’s trip overseas. (Yes, mainly chocolate.)
…and I’m also thankful for
The Bank of Mum and Dad (we have some holes in our roof that are not covered by insurance – gaaaaah).
The ability to make caramel macchiatos (macchiati?) at home now I have a milk-frothing device
(a Mother’s Day present). Nom.
P.S. Please fill in my survey. Thanks. 🙂
