Gratitude is officially good for your mental health. (Harvard says so, so it must be true.) As a self-care practice, it’s great to record things you’re grateful for – big and small. So here’s Thankful Thursday – my list of things I’m grateful for this week.
This week I’m thankful because:
- I love new years, resolutions, new diaries and calendars (any excuse for stationery), planning, all that stuff. I am in my element this week. Especially because the year started on a Monday, which is just extra neat and tidy as far as I am concerned. Is that weird? Perhaps it is a bit.
- I’m fired up for 2018. I have some fab things coming up in the next few months. I’m planning some great interviews and am really looking forward to sharing them with you.
- The girls went to an activity club on Tuesday. After two weeks of school holidays that was very welcome. We’re all going a bit crazy at home together.
- I got the DVDs of Elementary series 3 and 4 for Christmas and we’ve been watching series 3 every night when the children are in bed. (I have a
smallhuge obsession with the BBC Sherlock, except series 4, which we don’t talk about.) Elementary isn’t quite the same, but is rather marvellous in its own right and has the distinct advantage of a squillion more episodes. It is proving excellent escapism.
